“Together at Any Depth”

I made this piece to celebrate a union rooted in shared passion and connection. Made for Dominic and Madeline, two avid divers beginning their journey through life together, Together at Any Depth is a sculpture of two fish swimming in harmony—symbolizing partnership, trust, and the beauty of navigating the unknown side by side.

Crafted from copper and shaped by hand, the fish were formed using traditional smithing techniques and found materials, reflecting both the strength and adaptability of love. The steel mounts also smithed and twisted, in the image of seaweed. As an artist working with metals and reclaimed elements, I find stories in each texture and imperfection—echoes of real life, welded into something lasting.

To me, this piece speaks not just to diving, but to the idea that love isn’t bound by surface or circumstance. It thrives, together, at any depth.
