I have been the lucky soul that has been chosen as the Clear Creek Maker Space Artist in residence for the summer of 2025! It’s quite the honor.
Here is the link the made on their site: https://clearcreekmakerspace.com/artist-in-residence/.. but as that will probably age out, I will put a screenshot here.
The text is quite complimentary.. 🙂
One of the first things I will talk about is the media I use.
I LOVE reusing materials that already have a story, have served a purpose. I feel like its allowing it to relive a new life. A pieces of glass, and old piece of metal.. so many stories.

Also, I may be a tool hoarder. I have many, many tools. Here is a small sampling of them:

But Back to the artist in residence project… one of the things that is a big part of the honor, is that they finance a large art Project! Mine is going to be a large outdoor zoetrope, hopefully to be mounted outside of the makerspace, as soon as they go through the hoops to figure that out!
So, I will be documenting the project here!
As of this moment, I do not have much done yet. But here is a start! This is the center bearing of the zoetrope. It will support the spinning element, that will be about 24 inches in diameter! This will also let me run wires up through the center to light up the image area. It will make sense as the unit gets built.
