Back, a while ago, when I lived near Augusta, Georgia, the downtown area had a thriving art community. Various artist were always hiding art downtown on broad street, then posting a picture of it in situ to their friend groups on facebook. I always LOVED the idea! Well, here we are, post covid, I’m living “out west”.. what better way to have some fun and maybe even meet new friend and artists in the area? I’m going to hide some Art, Guerilla style, and give people clues as to where it’s hidden.
Here is how it will work.
1: I will place a piece of art in a public place.
2: I will place 2 (somewhat vague) picture clues as to where it is located on the artists treasure hunt page on facebook. (as well as other pages/sites, like next door)
3: I will place an additional VERY HELPFUL picture clue here at this site in this thread.
Lets have fun!
Colorful Rooster
Can you find the Rooster? Its been sighted in Leyden Rock! This Rooster was inspired by a antique wall decoration I saw in a antique store about 20 years ago. It’s so retro!
The sign Girl
This is the latest Hidden art treasure. She is made out of steel! I think she would fit really well on someones office desk.
Can You tell where she is hidden? One clue would be that she is in Candelas… Go find them!!
The Cross
This is the first piece I have ever hidden in Colorado! It was in the Leyden Rock subdivision.. can you tell by the clues where it was hidden at? This was hidden on Easter Day, 2024
